Always Radiant Totally Teen Infinity Pad Review

Always Infinity Teen

Starting your period can be a little scary, but with Always Radiant Infinity Teen pads, you can have all the protection and security you need so you won’t stress! With up to 8 hours of protection (that’s a whole school day!) it’s so thin and flexible, that it makes wearing a pad no biggie. You’ll be comfortable and confident for your entire day!

Absorbency

Always Infinity pads are made with their revolutionary Infinicel material that provides super fast absorption and leak lock protection.

The “Teen” pads are the same size and essentially the same product as the “Regular” sized Infinity pads. And like the rest of the Infinity line, they all absorb 4X more than you may need. The only difference is their size.

The pad is made up of two foam layers. The top one has micro-dots and those are the holes that you see. They act as one way tunnels that quickly absorb your period, locking it in the second layer where it spreads out and is stored securely away from your body so you can feel dry and fresh.

When you go to change your pad, you can clearly see the layers in action. The top layer looks really clean like it’s barely absorbed anything but the bottom layer will look very full!

Comfort
The pad allows your skin to breathe and unlike other Always pads, it doesn’t trap any moisture or sweat. The cover works to wick away fluid to keep you feeling dry and keeps the pad from sticking to your skin. It remains comfortable and breathable throughout the wear even on a heavy day.

During Exercise: Hiking

I had committed to a hiking adventure and coincidentally gotten my period on the same day. I was going to wear a tampon but I wasn’t familiar with this trail so didn’t know how long it would be until I got a chance to freshen up again. So I went with Always Infinity.

Throughout the hike, the pad stayed in place and I experienced zero shifting or lifting. It is super thin too so I didn’t feel like I was wearing a diaper. The pad flexed with my every move and didn’t crease at all. The cover also felt very soft against my skin and didn’t stick to my skin. Thankfully, it was very breathable throughout the entire four hour hike! Even when I felt sweaty, I didn’t feel sweaty down there.

During one part of the hike, my friends and I stopped and sat down by the river to eat lunch. I cringed at the thought of sitting down on a full pad… I could already hear the squishy sound. But to my surprise, it didn’t feel squishy! My period was locked into the bottom layer, and the cover still felt soft. When I stood up, the pad still flexed with my body without sticking to my body. A+!!!

Finally at the end of our hike, I had the opportunity to change my pad in an outhouse. I know I said this already but after a four hour hike, the pad really didn’t stick to my body and didn’t seem to trap any moisture.

Recommend for: Normal to heavy flows, overnight wear, sport wear
Not recommend for: Lighter flows, save these for the heavier days!

Adhesive

The adhesive is held by the plastic wrapping and sticky enough to keep the pad in place during exercise and sport wear. They have long wings to wrap around your panties to ensure they stick and stay in place. I didn’t experience any lifting or shifting at all.

Packaging

The pads are individually wrapped coloured plastic according to their absorbencies. Though this is essentially the same pad as the Regular, the Totally Teen pad is packaged in bright pink and features super cute designs on the pad.

  1. Thanks wonderful review. I was wondering which is better playtex or always? Thanks

    • Hi Madeline!

The new Playtex Sport pads are more like the Stayfree pads – absorbs quickly and still feels dry and comfortable :). The Infinity ones absorb fast and can absorb a lot – great if you have a very heavy flow. I like both!

  3. I would like to thank you all for the good questions and answers!!! I have 3 children. 1 so that is 11yrs old, but I also have 2 daughters, ages 7 and 9. I am preparing early because the girls are moving faster now a days! This section is very helpful for me!!!

  4. Yeah! I have to agree, this is the first pad I tried when I got my period (thanks to seeing this review) and it’s amazing but I haven’t tried anything else. One complaint I have, is the wings. The wings are pretty terrible at being wings! The shape is weird, and doesn’t grasp my underwear around the sides properly. If they were rectangular it would be much better. Half the time the wings don’t even stick because the bottom part of the wing (the bottom of the second round part) just sticks on the inside of my underwear, and the remaining attempt to fold over unevenly.

  5. Hi,
I am 12 years old and average size for my age, I am looking for a comfortable pad that I can wear all day. Is this the pad for me?
Also, will it feel to big because I hate pads that feel like that. Please tell me if this would be the perfect pad for me because it looks really comfortable xx

  6. The always infinity teen are just like 2 centimeters different than the always infinity regular. Not even teen sized! I’m gonna stick to U By Kotex Tween. At least they actually fit a teen/Tweens body!

  7. I have these pads at home but are these ones scented

highly recommend Any pad with the words ALWAYS INFINITY

  8. Hello Dedy, so I was wondering, do all pads make your vagina feel super sweaty and moist at the beginning? I know that this review says opposite for this pad but I bought these and wore a pad for the first time and it is really HUGE and MOIST! I mean, it’s waaayy too long! I was gonna just use tampons but I can’t yet since I am only wearing pads because I am really close to my first period. Please help and is it supposed to be really awkward feeling and awkward to walk in?

  9. I got my first period last month the 4th of December 2014 and then I had them again on the 27th of December and now I’m scared because I might have them on the first day of school on the 27th of January and I haven’t having period at School so I don’t know how to hide it? How should I sit so it won’t leak?

    • Hi Dreamer,

Bring extra pads with you to school. You don’t have to sit differently to prevent leaks. As long as your pad isn’t full – you’ll be ok. If you’re worried about leaks, change your pad at least once at school okay? Since you just started your period, your period is likely a little irregular so it may not come exactly on the 27th of January. It may come a little earlier or a little later so always be prepared and have pads in your back pack. You can also wear pantiliners before your period so you don’t leak on your panties. Hope that helps!

  10. I have these pads at home and they say on the packaging that it’ll last the average school day (8 hours) but when I wear it I still get afraid of leakage so I constantly check on leakage which never occured. The packaging said 8 hours and I got them because I’m embarrased to change my pad in school and I rather do it before school but should I change it during the day, is it possible to leak through my pants?

    • Hi Lemon Apple,

Good question! Even though the packaging say it will last 8 hours, it really depends on your flow and as you know your flow is a little different every day. Just to be safe, you should change your pad at least once while you’re at school. If it makes you feel comfortable, you can even change it twice at school. That way you will be sure not to leak and you will feel a bit more fresh throughout the day.

All the girls in your grade will eventually get their periods anyways so try not to be too embarrassed about changing your pad! If there is a single stall at your school, change your pad in there. I know the packaging is a little loud too (can they make the plastic wrapper any louder and crinklier? haha). I used to pre-open my pads before going to the bathroom at school so try that if it helps. What are you worried about when you change your pad at school?

I hope I can help you Lemon Apple!
