Scensibles Personal Disposal Bag Review

3ct x 3 | 50ct feminine care product disposal bag
5.00 | 3.50 at Scensiblesbags.com

Less Mess! More Clean!
Scensibles are scented biodegradable bags with odor control that help with discreet and clean disposal of your feminine hygiene products. There are already Scensibles dispensers installed in many facilities such as hospitals, airports, and college campuses.

I reviewed a similar bag before from the Dot Girl Period Kit but the bag was clear so I didn't really see the benefit of it. I still don't find personal disposal bags helpful for home use but these are very handy in public washrooms where you don't have the comfort of your own trash bin.

If you share your bathroom with many roommates or have a trash bin without a lid, this will help conceal odors and the sight of used tampons and pads.

I always have many things to throw away when I change my tampon which I'm sure you girls can relate to:
  • my used tampon
  • my used pantiliner
  • the tampon wrapper
  • my pantiliner wrapper
  • the used applicator
  • feminine wipe
  • feminine wipe wrapper
You girls know how hard it is hard to balance all that garbage on your lap when you're changing your tampon!

With the scensibles bag, I just put everything in the bag and throw it out. It's just like having your own personal trash bin with you like you do in your own bathroom at home

I've had my period for 9 years now and I still find the sight of a used tampon gross so having a little baggy to throw away all my trash immediately in makes it less icky for me.

The Scensibles bags have a light floral scent with an antimicrobial additive to fight odors and bunny ears so you can easily tie a knot and toss it out when you're done. They aren't looped handles like a grocery bag so you can't hang it on the stall door handle. I just put the bag on the ground or on top of the the toilet paper dispenser when I use it. I would love to see a loop handle on these though!

The bags are really crinkly and loud so they aren't discreet if you're shy about making too much noise in the bathroom stall.

Beyond using this as a consumer, I think this is a great product for public washrooms to provide. (If all public washrooms provided these then I wouldn't need to carry these with me :)!) The reason girls' washrooms are so much more filthy than boys' washrooms is because girls have periods and it's MESSY! Napkin disposal units are usually contaminated with period blood and this is very unsanitary for both the patrons and cleaning staff. If you're interested in providing these for your facility, you can find out more about it here: Scensibles for Commercial Use.

Recommended for:
-When changing your tampon or pad in public washrooms
-Hiding odors and the sight of used and unwrapped pads/tampons

Not Recommended for:
-Home use, save them for when you're in a public washroom

Summary
Scensibles personal disposal bags make your tampon changing routine much easier and cleaner when changing in public washrooms. It's just like having your own trash bin with you. They're the perfect size and fits all my used products and trash. They're a little loud so they're not the most discreet.
