3.49 exclusive to Shopper’s Drug Mart (Canada)
Better than a brand name & affordable price too!
Life Brand Ultra Thin Long Super pads are an exclusive product to Shopper’s Drug Mart and surprisingly, offers protection comparable to brand name pads! I was incredibly surprised by this pad as the store brand pads are never really as good as the brand name ones. (I’m sure this is a sentiment shared by most girls!)
This pad really reminded me of the Always Ultra Thin pads. They’re the same color and have the similar features such as the Dri-Lock and Super absorbent core, and being super thin and flexible. However, there are distinct differences that make this pad perform better.
This pad has fast absorbency and the cover stays dry and soft even after absorption. Unlike the Always Ultra Thins, these ones are not plastic like at all and have high breathability. I did not feel sweaty down there at all. There was as much period absorbed on top as there was on the bottom. This is always a good sign because it shows that the pad is doing its job by pulling the fluid down to its core and locking it in, securing it from leaking.
The wings are wide and this helps to keep the center or crotch area of your pad from shifting. However, the adhesive backing doesn’t cover much of the front or back edges (See picture). I experienced some lifting and folding over but I found that this is only a problem if your panties aren’t snug fit.
The only thing I would change about this pad is to add a sticker to seal the packaging and to help with disposal. This is where I took off points for packaging.
Life Brand Ultra Thin Super Pads outperform brand name pads and they do it at an affordable price! I highly recommend these over the Always Ultra Thins. These pads have a softer cover, higher breathability, and great absorbency. If you’re looking for an even softer cover, I would recommend the Stayfree Ultra Thin pads.
