Soo I had the weirdest period.... The first three days I was just spotting. I kept wearing heavy pads in anticipation for a heavy flow but it never came! What a waste of pads =[.
On the second day, I went for a run and you have probably heard before that exercise helps with your period and cramps but you probably haven't been told why. I am not completely sure either but I definitely found that it helped. I could feel my insides working to push my period out. I don't know how to explain this feeling but I'm sure you can relate! After my run, I checked my panties and found that more period on my liner.
AND THEN... on the third or fourth day, the red sea finally came and flooded my panties..... ugh
But it was a good period! I didn't have any killer cramps and I didn't have any leaks or spills =D! Yay me! It really seemed like exercising helped with the cramps part.
What was really weird was that it was like a flood for two days and then nearly NOTHING! I was wearing heavy pads one day and the next day I could barely fill up a pantiliner! Weirddddd.... But oh well I can't complain. Overall it was a fast period. The only issue I had was that I barely reviewed anything!
TL;DR: Abrupt period is abrupt.
Do you have a period story to share? They can be funny, embarrassing, or neutral :). (But most are both funny and embarrassing haha)You can submit them anonymously here:

I've never found exercise to help. Often my cramps are so bad I can't even think of trying to work out. I do make the attempt. When I've been on the treadmill before I've felt the sudden "whoosh" when it feels like I've just exploded all over the place. I ran to the bathroom thinking it will be a mess but it was all there on the pad thank goodness. But I hate wearing pads in there anyway so I'm always worried someone will see a stain or a bulge so I wear dark loose sweats.
ReplyDeleteI'm actually late :( Could get a whoosh any moment...
Hi Cindy,
DeleteI used to hate exercising during my period too! Are you talking about the GUSH feeling? It sure does feel like a lot but everytime I look, it's just like a drop haha. Good luck on your next one :).
xoxo.
I LOVE working out during my period. That plus advil and the cramps don't kill me. I feel like I sweat way more than I usually do. Sometimes I'll be on the elliptical and I feel like I'm totally gushing so I run to the bathroom and it's just a little even though it felt like niagra falls. Weird.
ReplyDeleteI HATE that gushing feeling>:(
